Ndbag the Boogeyman's Comic Strip #012 Is Online!

With a slight delay Ndbag's comic strip for the week is finally online. With all of the excitement of Comic Con, Update Wednesday became Saturday. But the important thing is that it is online, after all. ^_^

This week's installment has extra pandas in it, too, so it was well worth the wait. ;)

Ndbag the Boogeyman had a Pandatastic Time at SDCC

Wow! I have been to Comic Con a number of times in the past, as attendee, professional, and exhibitor. But this year was really special. Somehow time just flew by and it still does not seem like 4 1/2 days at all. Admittedly, I have been tired for much of the past week (up to today), but that is normal, I suppose.

A lot of interesting stuff was going on this year. As you might know, I presented my first book of Ndbag The Boogeyman Comic Strips at Con this year, and with all modesty, I can say that it was a complete success. People were even more interested in the book than I had dared to hope. Not only did we sell a large portion of the stock we had brought along, but people were very interested to discuss all aspects of the little boogeyman’s comic strip. Pros as well as fans were very interested to talk about the project and I got a lot of very positive feedback.

Furthermore, all the collectors’ cards I brought this year found new happy owners. They are a limited edition four card set with a special “Comic Con 2010 Limited Edition” caption and pictures and descriptions of the characters of my little comic strip. Last year’s cards have already turned into something of a collectors’ item and I have spotted them on eBay. ^_^ Some people even asked specifically about this year’s cards. Who would have thought that these little freebies would prove to be so popular!?

As usual, Pandaman was a favourite with the crowds. Not only was his card really popular, but multiple people paid special attention to the little papercraft model of Ndbag’s panda friend and took lots of photos.

I also had the pleasure of meeting fans of my online comic and having a nice little chat here and there. It is always a special treat to meet people I have only met online before. ^_^

I also had a chance to meet a bunch of friends I haven’t seen in a while. Both from the general area, as well as from Europe. It is funny how all those Europeans have to go to Comic Con to meet up… ^^;;;

Our collective booth was also filmed for the upcoming Morgan Spurlock documentary about Comic Con. They featured the very talented (and nice) artist Jeremy Dale in particular, but with a bit of luck you might just be able to spot me or some of the Ndbag articles on display somewhere in there.

Some of our other “booth people” also had a chance to attend the Eisner Award ceremonies, since their project “The Guns of Shadow Valley” was one of the projects nominated for the best digital/online comic. I am very proud and excited for them. ^_^

I also got a chance to talk to some long-time con pros here and there and really had a very good time all around. I even managed to attend the occasional panel in between and to grab the odd freebie here and there.

I can hardly wait for next year’s Comic Con to come around!! ^_^

In this update of Ndbag's Comic Con Special, the little boogeyman describes what he will do wen he is prowling the convention floor. Attendees of past Comic Cons might recognize some things. Also, note that Pandaman is in one frame and that the insidious and infamous ZK himself is making a brief cameo!

Ndbag's Weekly Comic Strip!

Have you read my cute little comic strip yet!? It has pandas, socks, hampers, and of course me, your favourite little boogeyman. It's cute, it's fun and it's pandatastic!

It is regularly updated every Wednesday around midnight European time. And sometimes there might be more than one update per week for season specials! Actually, the first season special is just about to kick off this coming Wednesday (7th of July 2010). Be sure to check that one out to see what I will be getting up to over the next couple of weeks!

Welcome To My Little Hamper Blog!

Welcome to my little hamper. You might wonder why a little boogeyman with a cute online hamper website needs a blog as well. Well, that is easily explained. While I dearly love my website, it is rather complicated sometimes. After all, the whole site is bilingual and everything has to work perfectly in both languages.

Using a little blog hamper allows me to talk about important things like pandas, socks, and anything else that strikes my fancy very spontaneously. Therefore, I have decided to try my hand at blogging. Of course, my offical website will still be updated regularly and it is the "first address" to visit for official updates, but if you want a little behind the scenes peek or want to know what I get up to, you can visit me here.
